Syncing your remote monitoring device ensures your latest sleep and vital data are uploaded to your SleepEz account for review by you and your care team.
1. Connect to Your Network
Before syncing, make sure your device is within range of your home Wi-Fi or paired via Bluetooth to your smartphone:
- Wi-Fi Devices: Select your network in the device settings, enter the password exactly, and wait for a solid “Connected” LED.
- Bluetooth Devices: Enable Bluetooth on your phone, open the SleepEz app, and follow the pairing prompts until the device appears in the app.
2. Manual Sync
If automatic syncing is off or you want immediate upload:
- Open the SleepEz app and navigate to Devices → Sync Now.
- Tap Start Sync and keep your phone or router within 3 feet of the device.
- Wait for the progress bar to complete and verify the success message.
3. Automatic Sync Schedule
By default, your device will:
- Attempt a sync every 24 hours at midnight local time.
- Retry up to three times if the first attempt fails.
- Send an alert in the app if no successful sync occurs within 48 hours.
4. Verifying on Your Dashboard
After syncing, log into your SleepEz account and go to My Data → Recent Uploads:
- Review timestamped entries showing nightly AHI, usage hours, and oxygen levels.
- Ensure each upload includes all sensor channels—respiratory effort, airflow, and SpO₂.
5. Troubleshooting Connectivity
If syncing fails:
- Restart your router or reboot your device by holding the power button for 5 seconds.
- Confirm no firewall or MAC filtering is blocking the device’s MAC address.
- For Bluetooth pairing issues, “forget” the device on your phone and re-pair from scratch.
6. Data Security & Privacy
All data transmissions are encrypted end-to-end. Your uploads use TLS over HTTPS or Bluetooth Secure Connections, ensuring that personal health information remains protected during transit and at rest.
7. Best Practices
- Keep your device charged—low battery can interrupt automatic syncs.
- Place the device in an open area, not inside cabinets, to maintain strong signal strength.
- Regularly update the SleepEz app and device firmware for optimal compatibility.
With reliable syncing, you’ll have up-to-date insights at your fingertips and help your care team intervene early if any metrics fall outside target ranges.
